Far infrared sauna heaters and kits make it possible for you to build your own custom wooden sauna.
Building a far infrared sauna can be fun, and ensures that you get the size, shape and angles that best fit your vision. The learning curve is not all that great but some basic carpentry skills and tools are recommended. We also advise getting the services of a professional electrician when it comes time to wire the sauna.
Why build a custom far infrared sauna?
There are several reason you might want to do this. You might simply enjoy building your own furniture and tools. You may have special space considerations that pre-built saunas can't fulfill. You might want your own look and decoration. Whatever your reason, we can help get you started.
Far Infrared Heat Therapy is considered one of the best methods of whole body therapy for pain relief, lowering blood pressure, increasing circulation, increasing energy and toxin detoxification and elimination.
Far Infrared Heat penetrates deep into the body and helps expand and dilate peripheral blood vessels. This helps bring relief to muscles and soft tissue injuries through increased circulation and accelerated production of compounds the body makes to heal. The increased blood circulation delivers oxygen-rich blood to injured muscles, helping speed up the body's natural recovery process. Users report that far infrared therapy (especially a sauna) lowers blood pressure.
How do I build it?

Parts you'll need
All saunas need wood, emitters, a digital controller, housings and reflectors. Due to shipping costs and variability, we do not provide the wood for these projects. Your local building supplier can provide wood much cheaper than we could. We can help you with your emitters, reflectors, housings and controllers, as well as pre-hung doors and windows if you're interested.
You have two choices when it comes to building your sauna. You can choose from one of our pre-made kits for one, two or four person saunas, or you can take everything into your own hands and custom build your kit. You can see everything we have to offer below.
Note: Emitters are UL Approved and Terminal Blocks are CE Listed and recognized by UL. Your completed sauna as a whole will NOT be UL Approved. Some cities or counties may have strict electrical codes and you may wish to submit your plans for approval. We have UL and CE documentation we can fax to you. Seek the council of a professional licensed electrician before installing and wiring these units. Promolife nor the manufacturer are not responsible nor libel for improper installation. Improper installation could create a fire hazard. Promolife does not council nor recommend any electrical wiring configuration. You will need a licensed electrician to professionally wire your sauna. Wiring diagrams are not included. The controller comes with a wiring schematic. If installing these in commercial or industrial locations, we recommend contacting your local inspectors for initial approval. Promolife and the manufacturer is not responsible for inspectional approvals.
